Rafael Vadillo Arrieta

A passionate professional of Finance area, covering different positions and experiences along my career in Santander Group. Always trying to make the difference in the organisations and projects that I’ve had the privilege to lead.

During these years, I had the chance to work in different Banking areas, such as Leasing, Confirming, International Custody, Funds, Pension Funds, Insurance, Risk, Finance, Securitisation, CRM, Transactional Banking, Markets, and most recently in Regulatory area, covering Reporting Obligations, AML, Financial Crime, and Surveillance.

It was casual my interest for Technology, but since I started teaching it, my career in Technology making differential projects forced me to be in constant learning following all the different trends in IT.

This is me in professional roles, but as a normal person, I’m the third of four amazing siblings, I love being with my wife and my family, travelling, or just reading a good book. I love music and it is very often the time in which I assist concerts, I love Pop, Jazz, Spanish Music, and different styles.

I usually play Padel, maybe I’m not so good as I would like it, and jogging.
