What's best in computing is adapting an engineered solution to some especific requirements. Experience has proved me that there's no software generic enough to adapt itself to the needs of a business, specially if this one is based on the web and specially if is changing most of the time to answer market inputs.

Building computed solutions to this sort of business has become my main purpose in my profession. Solutions based on strong patterns in the data, logic and communication layers and the last approaches in the presentation one, result in a very stable and maintainable application ready to be presented in whatever interface is required.

Of course, this kind of project requires firmness from all the people related to the business, but the product obtained justifies the involvement and ensures a very deep knowhow to be applied in future projects or the evolution of the same.
