Research analyzing the impact of Open Banking on Fintech investment and market structure, in collaboration with the European Commission. My projects include detecting market manipulation on financial platforms using high-frequency proprietary data and managing venture capital datasets. I develop automated data collection tools, including web-scraping workflows, to streamline data processing and analysis. This work combines economics, finance, and data science, applying rigorous methods to understand market dynamics, investor behavior, and regulatory impacts. It also informs practical insights for policymakers, startups, and investors seeking to navigate the evolving digital finance landscape.

I served as an Economic Advisor at the Puerto Rico Department of State, performing data-driven economic analysis and policy evaluation. My work included analyzing metrics such as the Doing Business Index in collaboration with the World Bank and the Puerto Rico State Department. I provided actionable insights to inform government decisions on business regulation, economic development, and investment strategy. This role required combining rigorous quantitative analysis with a practical understanding of policy impact, enabling evidence-based recommendations. I also developed reports and presentations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, bridging the gap between data, policy, and actionable strategy.

I teach presential courses at EADA Business School for students of Business Administration (ADE), and AI-focused programs. My classes mix microeconomic theory, econometrics, and practical data programming in a way that’s engaging and hands-on. Students and professionals learn to analyze real-world business and market situations, apply causal inference techniques, and use R and Stata to turn data into actionable insights. Each session is tailored to the group, so everyone can immediately apply what they learn to their studies, work, or business projects, making economics and data analysis practical, useful, and approachable.
