My primary role was transformation programme manager. As part of a large transformation programme, I leaded the modernization effort in all aspects connected to the organizational development of an Institution of more than 30.000 employees (operating models and organizational design, headcount optimization and org. efficiency, job architecture and classification frameworks, mobility and promotion schemes,..) and of HR itself (process re-engineering, SAP deployment, internal control unit desig and implementation..). The modernisation programme required intense and continuous negotiation with the unions for its implementation, so I became familiar with highly unionised environments and I was responsible for the labour relations of the non-civil servant personnel (4,000 employees) when I negotiated and signed their first collective bargaining agreement.
