Architect III / Deployment Architecture scope: created infrastructure designs, guided cloud application and SaaS deployment processes, established CI/CD and automation practices, guided Kubernetes containerized deployments, documented configuration-management frameworks and supported the deployment lifecycle across development, QA and production.

Deep understanding of modern microservices architectures;

Expertise in modern DevOps (preferable if that covers DevSecOps) tools and technologies, e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, Istio + Envoy, Aquasec/Twistlock/Sysdig, (GitLab) CI/CD pipelines;

Supporting teams in Dublin, Bangalore, Belarus, on new architecture/environments, and the monolith architecture/environments too. Can work well with others with little supervision;

Key outcomes the Dev ops engineer would be expected to contribute to the team within 6 months

Deep understanding of new and old environments – should have firm grasp within first month;

Performed upgrades of software such as Kubernetes, GitLab, etc., or taken on and completed a POC of new software;

Delivered performance improvements to Development environments;

Delivered consistency across legacy non-production monolith environments, e.g. ensure that software packages are the same version, and managed by puppet;

Think of it like a start-up within an established company. They’ll get to work alongside some highly motivated people, on a modern microservices architecture, in Deem’s new development center in Dublin. They will also support and improve the legacy monolith environments, and provide performance improvements within the Development environments.

Principal Engineer Cloud / DevOps Operations scope: helped move an on-premise/on-demand business toward multi-tenant SaaS, including build pipelines, automated environment rollout, deployment automation, observability, SRE practices, on-call readiness, fire drills, training and documentation.
