Josemi Arriaga

With a degree in Advertising, I spent the first 20 years of my career in advertising agencies. I was a designer, advertising copywriter, creative director, and finally, a partner director at an agency in Bilbao for eight years.

As a director, I managed the implementation of a custom-developed management tool. This project revealed to me how frustrating the relationship with the development company can be when they cannot fully understand the client's needs.

As a result of this experience, I created a team dedicated to designing digital solutions for our clients and took responsibility for it. During this time, I gained knowledge and expertise in functional definition and Product Ownership. I created web-based projects, projects which included IoT solutions, management applications, and of course, mobile applications.

Five years ago, I joined a software startup. For the past four years, I have been balancing my activity there with my work as a freelancer, doing business and functional analysis, preparing "functional requirements documents", and serving as a product owner.

My primary value as a "Product Owner" lies in my experience managing teams and my ability to design and functionally define value-added projects for clients. I would highlight my communication skills, ability to anticipate scenarios and lateral thinking.

These skills and my professional experience allow me to identify those critical elements for the client, providing responses that add value.
