I led the delivery of CrowdFlex for OVO Energy which involved the largest consumer-led flexibility trials in Europe . The experience has informed me of what it actually takes to make consumer flexibility commercially viable. That means the proposition designs that get people to participate, the baselining and settlement mechanics that make it work operationally, and the system operator and government relationships that shape the markets around it.

Throughout Crowdflex my team have directly consulted on baselining improvements to BAU services and quantified the implicit versus explicit flexibility capacity avaialble from now until 2030. I feel grateful to have had exposure to these themes in a mature flexibilty market, but recognise more than ever that there is a lot still to do to drive the levels of consumer-led flexibility that many governments around the globe are striving for.

Before Crowdflex, I was Head of Partnerships at Connected Kerb and an Account Executive at Wallbox Chargers in Barcelona - giving me the full commercial chain from EV charging infrastructure through to grid flexibility markets.

I hold an MSc in Energy, Environmental Technology & Economics from City, University of London and an MEng in Chemical Engineering from Swansea University. My dissertation on demand-side response for electrically heated homes won the Fuellers Charles Stephenson Clark Award.

I'm now based in Spain, and actively looking for my next challenge. I'm currently open to full-time, contract or advisory.
