To speed up the construction process, the company decided to model the factory using discrete events with the use of Flexim.I used my expertise in programing to replicate real process in Flexim and used some 3D models to make a 3D visualization of the factory in action.I also had the opportunity to create a virtual reality scene of the factory using NAVIDIA Ominverse, making easy for our clients to understand our product.

The 3D models were generated in Maxsurf, to easily change hydrostatics parameters of the hull, after that a general arrangement is proposed considering that profile. Motion analysis of different bow shapes, the criteria used was the motion sickness index, and acceleration at different locations like the control bridge and other work zones. For this study the resistance wasn´t considered as a performance parameter. Propeller analysis with CFD. Performance analysis of a skewed Kaplan propeller using open FOAM, to verify the results obtained when using potential linear theory. Finally, the propeller increased its efficiency due to a vortex reduction on its leading edges. (k - omega model was used to model turbulence).
