Alejandro López-Cortijo

Alejandro López-Cortijo is a senior consultant in sustainability, environment, climate change, and energy, passionate about helping companies and governments to move wisely towards a more sustainable economy. Today he works independently as a strategic advisor, leadership coach, and organizational consultant focused on projects, products, and partnerships related to sustainable development.

He is currently an advisor to several companies (Indra, FinPay, Plenoil), and a regular collaborator of Serfiex, Anthesis, Audema, Thalatta Energy, and Cesyt. Besides, he is a partner at MinuteOne P.SL., founder and country manager in Spain of the Mexican firm BlacktoGreen Consulting. Alejandro has directed over 500 projects of consultancy, of which +20 were related to Carbon Footprint (the first one in 2002 for British American Tobacco).

Alejandro held the position of country manager for Spain of Ecosecurities p.l.c. and led a biofuel startup in Western Africa. Alejandro holds a BSc in Agricultural Engineering from the UPM of Madrid and an MSc in Environmental Policy from the University of London. Coupled with this, he is also chairman of the Climate Change Working Group at Tecniberia, a visiting lecturer at a few universities, and participates in the Spanish think tank Royal Institute Elcano.
