As a Customer Service Advisor, I earned experience with being able to talk to customers over the phone and over live chat in a call centre and a working-from-home environment. This included both inbound and outbound experience. The queries I received were varied and could include changes to existing policies, giving quotes, taking payments, supporting claims, and supporting customers in financial difficulty. I was able to deal with complex problems and problem-solve when needed by adapting to the situations. I dealt with confidential information and also B2B on a daily basis, speaking to more than 25,000 customers over 3 years. This involved complaint handling and conflict resolution to ensure the outcome for the customer was correct and to put right any wrongdoings. I had experience working in a fast-paced and pressured environment while upholding great customer satisfaction levels. I received many customer feedbacks praising my service, and often went out of my way to ensure that the customer was happy by the end of the call. I was able to learn new things quickly and effectively, such as different systems or processes, and had no problem with steep learning curves when needed. Since January 2018, I worked as a customer representative as a Live Chat agent and, since COVID, worked from home.
