Stephen is an award-winning producer/editor from Waterford, Ireland, living in Dublin. He has been working in the film industry since 2002, initially doing courses at the Irish Film Institute and then producing short films.
In 2005 he produced his 1st professional short film called Jack’s Hat. The film went on to
have success in national and international film festivals, secured U.S. distribution and broadcast on national television.
Besides producing and co-producing short films that won several awards (including Best Short Comedy Award & Spirit of the Festival Award), he obtained a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Creative Media Production.
Since 2007, he has worked as a freelancer in arts/film management under the name Mad Dog Productions (and he established the Waterford International Film Festival ) the same year.
The festival has run successfully ever since and is due to celebrate its 17th annual event in 2023.
He was nominated for the Contribution to the Arts Award for the South East region of the country for his work on the festival.
Stephen has worked on a variety of projects over the years including online adverts and corporate videos for big companies and organisations such as The Chamber of Commerce, Maxol, Credit Union, Sun Life Financial, and Waterford Crystal.
As of 2019, Stephen began collaborating with Associate Producer Zahara Moufid of Jim Sherdian's company Hell's Kitchen, including the Dublin Arabic Film Festival, where Zahara is the Festival Director and Stephen is the Festival Programmer.
He provides a variety of different services including video production & editing, event management, and website design.
In 2022, he was awarded the Semi-Finalist Spot for Best Trailer in the Arthouse Festival of Beverly Hills for the Short Film Quest' by Maree Egan.
