Infrared Detector Characterization, Impact of Gamma Rays on HgCdTe Detector for The Astronomy Large Format Array program: infrared detector, interaction gamma/ matter data processing, software engineering. I'm working in the Payload Technology Validation section belonging to the Future Missions Department inside the Science Division. My mission is a part of the ALFA-N activity: ESA's technology development program ALFA-N (Astronomy Large Format Array – Near-infrared), developing a Photon-to-SpaceWire detection system for science missions with instruments sensitive in the Near-Infrared waveband (from 0.8 to 2.5 um). My goals:
• Perform an irradiation test plan.
• Develop a generic software for data acquisition and data analysis.
• Perform electro-optical detector characterization pre and post-irradiation at cryogenic temperature.
• Measure the annealing effect on the detector performances at cryogenic temperature by performing an electro-optical test on the detector after irradiation.
• Evaluate the impact of the radiation on the detector and give feedback to the industry (CEA) that manufactured this detector to improve the performances of the next generation of a detector for the future ARIEL mission.
