About Me;
Hi everyone. I'm Rachael, I live in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire (UK) and I am a Freelance Sewing Machinist & Embroiderer.
Sewing Experience;
My sewing began as a hobby making things such as soft furnishings;
> Scatter cushions for around the house.
> Curtains
> Lampshades
> Draught excluders
> Hair accessories
I started to post my projects on my social media accounts and gained interest from family and friends and gained a following. This encouraged me to open an online store and rent a stall in my local market hall to advertise and sell my projects. As well as soft furnishings I have experience with;

> Dog Clothing, collars, leads.
> Baby clothing, booties, bibs
> Dignity bibs for disabled and elderly
> Doll & Teddy clothing

> Embroidery & Personalisation
My Skills;
> Machine Proficiency, able to use various types of machines to suit the required project. (e.g. flatbed, straight stitch, overlocker, button hole , bias binding, embroidering).
> Machine maintainance.
> Knowledge of different textiles/fabric (e.g. Cottons, rubber, plastic, leather), and the needles and thread suitable for the fabric type.
> Attention to detail.
> Quality contol.
> Hardworking, dedicated
> Numeracy (when measuring & patterns)
