Olamide Florence in a few words
I am Olamide Florence Adeoye (Sharp Txngue), a Black queer, neurodivergent illustrator, comic artist and storyteller based in Manchester, UK. My process often starts with ‘imagine if…’ and ‘what does this feeling look like’ - and consequently, my artwork is inspired by real life with that extra spark. My artwork is brought to life through bright, pastel colours, soft shapes and scratchy pencil textures to tell people-focused stories that are often left out of the mainstream. I create illustrations digitally (on iPad, Procreate) and traditionally (mainly colouring pencils and acrylic gouache) in my sketchbook, on non-traditional canvases and with polymer clay. I have previously enjoyed working on event and educational program posters, magazine covers, shoe customisation, website illustrations and album covers.
