Laura Stroie

"Laura Stroie did a 6 month business integration internship at our agency.
She showed a great interest in our services. That became clear with every project: she takes the time to listen to the client(s), asks questions to understand what the expectations are and offers ideas. She also asks regularly feedback to make sure her design is moving in the right direction. She does this through sketches, mock-ups, images of the process, etc.
Laura is proactive. When the client is looking for a solution to a specific problem, she will make creative proposals or carry out research herself in order to arrive at a result in function of the objectives. She visualized our agency's organizational charter, which was a long process in which the client's needs have changed several times. She remained constructive and communicated in a professional manner with every adjustment of the designs (poster, pictograms, org chart, etc.). This project was outsourced by the agency to a communications agency, but cooperation was difficult. Laura found the golden mean. Thanks to her technical skills and input, the collaboration came to a successful conclusion.
During the internship she also carried out assignments under time pressure. It was no problem to be flexible about this and to adjust her work schedule.
She explains her proposals about the composition/form and the choices in terms of balance, spatial relations, value and colour. Her research and graphic proposals to visualize 'FONS-ke' (our mascot) are a good example of this.
She is sensitive to social values such as diversity, respect, authenticity.
When she presents her work, her enthusiasm can take the upper hand, which means that the presentation sometimes lacks some overview. It would also be good to further deepen the knowledge of the Dutch language.
Dealing with colleagues went smoothly. Our campaign 'We are FONS', for which Laura did the photography, has been launched in August 2021. During the photo sessions she succeeded in creating a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. They were not professional models, but our own staff and they appreciated her explanations (eg position, light, setting, etc.) in the instructions for the image recordings.
The time taken for the photo shoots was as Laura estimated in advance.
It went very quickly, also the installation afterwards. We have a lot of images and they represent what we want to 'tell' with our campaign."

Laura worked in our company from 04/07/2022 to 12/08/2022 as a graphic designer.
Laura is an enthusiastic and driven person who comes up with fresh ideas. She is a punctual employee you can count on. During this period, Laura introduced and developed ideas and concepts. She dares to be sufficiently critical.
Laura is also very skilled in photography, she has also used this skill at Haletra, so that we have been able to use her beautiful portrait photos, atmospheric photos and action photos.
Laura performed her duties satisfactorily. Her knowledge and experience have been an added value within our company.
The reason for her dismissal has nothing to do with Laura's skills or attitude to work. The expected increase in turnover did not materialize, so we had to let Laura go as an extra hired staff member.
Laura has been highly recommended by us to a future employer for similar positions.

I had the opportunity to collaborate with Laura Stroie on Art and Advertising projects. Our communication was excellent and we were able to bounce ideas off of each other, resulting in more comprehensive and effective visual collateral. She is able to translate marketing details into a very effective visual language, that is both easy to understand and fresh. Laura is also a self-starter who takes initiative and requires little supervision to complete projects. She has the ability to identify priorities and manage her time effectively to ensure deadlines are met with the highest quality.
