My name is Kuriakose Vaisian. I am a creative all-rounder, adept at copywriting, film-making, video editing, and design. I have worked in multiple roles over the years. I started as a journalist, then dabbled in managing social media and website design. I then switched to making ad films and brand videos, eventually handling content creation and copy editing across various platforms. I have spearheaded inhouse advertising campaigns for over 200+ clients, including Google, Kellogg’s, Toyota, and Uber. Currently, I work as a creative consultant for Alaan, a fintech start-up based out of Dubai, helping with UX and UI copy, marketing emailers, and social media ads. I also regularly write op-ed pieces for The Indian Express, one of India's oldest and most respected daily newspapers.
I am looking to broaden my horizons and work on creative campaigns that resonate internationally. I want to work with organizations that help me grow and learn and evolve my worldview. I am a hard worker and pick up skills quite fast. Case in point, I am a completely self-taught designer, having learned my way around Adobe by watching my designers at work. I have immense respect for deadlines and budgets and strive to complete projects well within both. I consider myself quite organized and seek the same in my colleagues. Professionalism is key to my work ethic. That is why I leave my ego at the door when checking into work.
I also believe in a healthy work-life dynamic; all work and no play make Kuria a dull boy. Being a creative professional, I think that time invested in creative pursuits outside work will only aid me at my day job. That was the reason I got into stand-up comedy five years ago.
