- MediaworksHead of Technical SearchApril 2021 - October 2022 (1 year and 6 months)Newcastle upon Tyne, UKAs an extension of my position as Head of Search, my role became focused more heavily on the technical aspects of SEO dealing with many enterprise CMS solutions such as Salesforce, Sitecore, Umbraco, Wordpress etc. This is through a consultative approach with clients, developers and key stakeholders in all projects. Continuing to manage the SEO team, my role is to deliver Technical Consultancy Strategies which includes a strong focus on Martech stack integration and the optimisation of crawling, indexing and rankings at a foundational CMS level. This also saw a much larger focus on algorithm updates, Core Web Vitals and continuing to deliver technical strategies for SEO growth. Working as part of an agile approach, I regularly consult on technical framework changes, data driven website hierarchy recommendations, through to website migration and project-based fixes (e.g. faceted navigation implementation) for several blue-chip clients. These are delivered through audits, reports and recommendations. To further ensure the delivery of these recommednations, I regularly partake in WIP and stand up sessions to all levels of business be it board members, company owners and digital marketers by delivering clear, easy-to-understand explanations of required fixes that help remove the confusing and convoluted jargon. I continue to be responsible for delivering client KPI and ROI targets whether that is traffic, conversions or revenue and I am responsible for presenting these results to all aspects of the business. Further to the day to day aspects of my role, I am responsible for the improvement in process delivery, task delivery, management, 1-2-1 meetings, training and upskilling of my team as well as delivering internal KPIs for business growth and success at a management level.
