I've had several roles during my Bupa tenure. The majority of it was as a Senior Compensation & Performance manager. This role involves working closely with the Reward and People teams to provide expert and pro-active reward & performance input on compensation and incentives in EMEA. It also includes the ownership of UK compensation grades for Workday, international
benchmarking best practices and the end to end management of annual merit and bonus cycles.
Other responsibilities included:
• Provide continuous input into the on-going development of the UK and international Reward Strategy and associated principles, practices and policies, ensuring that it supports the wider HR and business strategy.
• Input and support on the planning of the Reward Strategy through pro-active involvement with key stakeholders – People Executive Team and Managers and the wider HR team.
• Development and delivery of job catalogue and international best practice benchmarking process across the Bupa Global and the UK including benchmark coordination, salary ranges and individual senior pricing of jobs
• Identify critical areas of improvement for the reward function in relation to compensation and incentives – evaluate impact, prioritise workloads and lead on the design, development, and delivery of these process improvements
• Lead role in ensuring the accuracy/ integrity of Reward data and associated MI.
• Project manage the global annual pay and bonus review process ensuring that controls are in place.
• Development and delivery of effective communications for employees across the market unit on with People Directors to provide optimal communications.
• Support and advise on the delivery of the Reward Strategy through pro-active involvement with key stakeholders.
• Manage multiple supplier relationships (Korn Ferry, WTW etc.)
• Maintain a strong network of external reward professionals to assist in keeping up to date with current best practice and latest reward thinking.
