I have worked as a Business Analyst for over 10 years now and have been privileged to work on many programmes in which I have generated a number of business requirements. I have worked in financial sector, retail and It environment.
In my role as a BA I have worked with both the business and IT to implement TOM.
My strategy has always remained the same. In my past experiences I have produced stakeholder Maps, identified all my stakeholders within the programme.
Engaged the stakeholders to understand their pain points elicit requirements through either 1-2-1, workshops or interviews.
Produced AS-IS and TO-BE maps, Identified the gaps, Breakdown the requirement to functional and non-functional requirements. I translate them to Use Cases, User Stories and i produced a business requirement document for the project.
I met with the developers and testers to write test scripts and raise a Change Request for any changes within the project.
