Erik in a few words

With twenty years of product delivery and strategic leadership experience in the digital industry I am open to projects rooted in delivering better and more data led approaches. These include strategic input and product ideation to managing product development and delivery with a hands on ethos.

I have extensive experience both agency side as a web developer and digital marketing consultant, as well as client side leading global digital functions. For the the last twelve years I worked "in-house" within leading FTSE100 companies, most recently creating and leading an AI & Automation function for one of the UK's largest CPG companies.

My passion is for creating better data product solutions to business problems and processes, and especially enjoy leaning on the opportunities created by the latest data technologies such as ML and cloud integration.

I am always learning and evolving my skillset to deliver better innovation end to end data driven solutions that deliver better ways of working. I particularly enjoy bridging the business to technology gap, working collaboratively with business stakeholders as well as data scientists and engineers. Where it offers value I will often directly contribute to techical development of data led solutions, from coding prototypes in Python to building data architectures on modern cloud data platforms. I have extensive experience in data analytics work including creation of PowerBI and Looker dashboards, with a focus on the journey towards prescriptive analytics, i.e. next best action, and automated outcomes.

Whilst spending most of my recent career working within and large enterprise, I also believe that there is a tremendous opportunity for all organisations to embrace the massive productivity opportunities posed by AI & automated data technologies. I am also happy to consider working at significantly reduced rate for charities and not for profit organisations.
