Anna in a few words
Although a large part of my university studies was centred around academic writing, I also had the chance to build a portfolio of my creative writing and flash fiction. The most successful parts of my studies included script writing and poetry modules, for which I achieved a first. Having studied English at a degree level, I am meticulous when it comes to presenting my written work, and have learnt the importance of proofreading and paying attention to fine detail.
More than anything, I am excited to get started on new writing projects, as this is truly my deepest passion!

English Literature
University of Leeds
2022 I graduated from the University of Leeds with a 2:1 in BA HONS English Literature. During my time as a student at Leeds, I overcame many difficulties posed to my studies, particularly the COVID-19 pandemic. During my studies, I studied a wide variety of modules which broadened my skills in interpreting texts and applying different writing styles. Whist I wrote a number of academic essays applying literary theory, I also worked with poetry, drama, scriptwriting, creative writing and songwriting. My most successful results during my studies were my achievements of a first in Drama and Surrealism and the French Stage, as well as the creation of my flash fiction creative writing portfolio.

MA Songwriting
ICMP
In-progress Earlier this year, after a successful audition, I was accepted to study part time MA Songwriting at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, London. My course consists of weekly writing workshops and seminars, where we are required to perform a new original song written according to a brief.
The course is designed to prepare students to work in the modern music industry, as we learn not only about the creation of music and lyrics, but the importance of music business and the commercial music market.
