I have more than 14 years of experience in building scalable, modular products from scratch in different types of companies: be it an early aged startup or unicorns like Paytm, Snapdeal, Inmobi.
In my current company Wedmegood, I am currently working as the VP engineering and have led the transition from an unreliable monolithic architecture to a modular, scalable micro services based architecture to handle 80x the growth and the increase in traffic in the last 3 yrs. Besides building a lot of products from scratch like e-commerce, live stream, dynamic location based lead packs, I also took numerous initiatives from both tech and management perspectives to improve the stability, observability, cost effectiveness of the system and to increase the motivation and productivity of the tech team.
In my previous company Snapdeal, I was leading the personalisation team and became one of the important teams within Snapdeal as we were able to drive 35% of orders received on Snapdeal through our 3 main projects i.e personalisation of widgets, marketing automation platform and user persona service.
Before that I have worked in Inmobi as a big data engineer and also implemented machine learning algorithms like NLP’s part of speech tagging, CTR prediction, user to item recommendation etc.
