1 year placement working across the following areas: branding and packaging, instore graphics, POS and signage, marketing event graphics and promotional literature, large format graphics, responsive website & marketing channels including social media, affiliate banners, category banners, landing pages, and the River Island App. Key skills include:
• Knowledge of how a busy in-house design team works.
• Brand Awareness.
• Layout & typography skills.
• How to see a design through from concept to delivery.
• Strong communication skills developed through working in a team of 10+ designers and across departments such as marketing, packaging, copy, merchandising and buying.
• In depth knowledge of Adobe creative suite – Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and InDesign as well as Sketch.
• Understanding of CMS and how to prepare designs for development.
• Understanding commercial printing and online responsive design.
• Working effectively on my own initiative as well as within a team structure.
• Organisational skills; how to think quickly, plan, organise and prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• How to communicate clearly, accurately and confidently
• Strong attention to detail.
