Alex Westerman

I am an enthusiastic and motivated finance professional with over twelve years of experience managing multiple projects and clients. I pride myself on my ability to build excellent relationships with both clients and colleagues, and I am an experienced people manager of teams with a range of skill sets and abilities.

Throughout my career, I have managed a large international portfolio of clients across a diverse range of sectors. Having worked at both a Big 4 accounting firm and a top 100, multi-office accountancy practice, I have developed a well-rounded knowledge across many areas including internal audit projects, external audit and assurance, management accounting, statutory accounts preparation, running the finance function for SME businesses, group consolidations, technical knowledge of applying UK GAAP and IFRS, management of group reporting, group Corporation Tax returns, complex VAT returns and business advisory.

I recently spent a year in Barbados during which time I worked as a Manager at PwC. This was a fantastic experience allowing me to develop both my personal and professional skillset. Before my time overseas, I spent time as a contractor in finance departments working on several projects as a senior financial accountant.
