Communications Specialist with more than 15 years' external, internal and digital comms experience.

My strengths are in engaging brand storytelling, content development, managing multi-channel communication campaigns on time and to budget, and successfully managing reputation to build positive brands from the inside, out.

I've spent the past four years leading small project teams in the planning, delivery and evaluation of strategic communication campaigns and projects in the healthcare, pharmacy and retail sectors.

Outside of work I volunteer for the youth mental health charity Beyond. I support their PR activity when needed, moderate their Youth Board community, advise on topics relevant to the LGBTQIA+ youth community, create content for social and, help plan and deliver their annual ‘Now and Beyond’ Mental Health Festival.

Managing external communications for Alliance Healthcare, part of the AmerisourceBergen family. Overseeing activities in 10 EMEA markets to improve outcomes linked to the aligned to commercial plans and business objectives.
Proactively building positive brand reputation through narrative, engagement, content and issues management.

I worked with the Director of External Communications at Alliance Healthcare to build out a new strategic external communications function for the Group.
This involved the development, socialisation and launch of a 12-month plan working with Executive and SLT teams, functional leads and market communication teams across the Group. In the six months that followed the launch, I delivered the following:
- Building the foundations: developed and agreed central processes such as approvals with the Executive, SLT and functional leads, created a resource toolkit in collaboration with market communications colleagues across 10 EMEA markets, executed phase one of the ‘Newsroom’ on
- Networking and collaboration: increased visibility of the teams’ work streams across the Group and with market teams and our US counterparts at AmeriscourceBergen; managing bi-annual events to bring the teams together.
- Planning and content: created and socialised a central content calendar and 12-month planning cycle across the Group, introduced monthly content meetings and an editorial committee.
- Telling our story, building our brand: developed a library of visual, photographic and video content and pitched global stories to media (COVID Vaccine Distribution efforts). Created a thought leadership plan, including Executive perspectives, podcast opportunities and newsroom content.
