At Lendis, we offer an innovative B2B software solution that makes it easy for companies to select, manage and administer their work equipment through a simple rental model.

The role is defined as a strategic technical leader responsible for the technical and architectural vision of the company. I work closely with the product team to collaborate and translate the product vision into technical deliverables for the engineering teams while reporting directly to the CEO. While I do not have any direct reports at the moment I am heavily involved in the growth and career development of engineers as well as hiring and attracting new talent.

As a tech lead, I was responsible for the “definition of good” within the scope of the club. A club is a smaller business unit within the company that usually consists of about 80 people across multiple departments. I also collaborate with the leadership team of our clients to manage the technical direction (such as architecture etc.) and the main technical point of contact. My role also involves mentoring and upskilling more junior engineers and working with their line managers to help them with their career progression. This is usually encapsulated within a “guild” which is a community of practice, in my case, it is full-stack engineering and OOP.

I am also required to do a great portion of pair programming, code review and PRs or as a scrum master of the team when required.

The client portfolio currently consists mostly of companies within the financial sector such as Lloyds Banking Group, and Trade Ledger but also large commerce organisations such as Tesco or Frasers Group or telecommunications companies such as Sky

Venatus Media is a global advertising technology platform, focused on gaming and entertainment. As a Head of Engineering, I was responsible for the core architecture, design and other technical decisions as well as managing and mentoring the engineering organisation, working closely with the product leadership and the executives to define and break down complex deliverables. The platform itself consists of a wide range of technologies like Node.js (TypeScript), Java and Scala for the backend parts of the system. MongoDB is a domain database and client-side JavaScript layer that is being deployed to publishers’ websites.
